Gerald Reznick, who has anchored the weekend news on WKMG for more than five years, is leaving the desk. Reznick told the
Orlando Sentinel's Scott Maxwell that he has been diagnosed with
Stargardt's disease, a form of macular degeneration which has made it very difficult to read scripts and the promtper. He has even tried to just memorize his script, but that didn't work too well. Reznick, who could eventually go blind, will become a weekday reporter at the station.
